Tooth whitening?

Sugarplumfairy89 asked:

What remedies do you recommend for tooth whitening? I’m a student so cant afford to get them whitened at the dentist, i use a brand whitening toothpaste, brush my teeth twice a day and floss regularly. I just want something cheap to get a dazzling smile :D

I use Crest White Strips Premium, and they work very well. I’m a smoker, so my teeth get yellow fast, but they got really really white from just 3 days of strips…

    Good luck!

I have had my teeth whitened. Cost me £300 and I pay £35 every 3 months for a tube to top up. I know its expensive but the dentist who performed it said this is the only thing that will work, all whitening products may help slightly but it doesnt get into the inner tooth therefore will not see permanent lasting results. I would def recommend professional teeth whitening as it will last and last. To be honest you dont need to get top ups if you dont want to. The product used is an alkali too so will not damage teeth in any way. I would say you will be wasting money by purchasing off the shelf products that will not work.

i found that aquafresh extreeme clean paste really whitened mine, its like, a metalic blue tube. and doesnt specify whitening i dont think, but it sure as heck helped me!
also, colgate total, have this ‘professional weekly clean’ paste, that you use once a week (along with your other pastes) and this seems to whiten mine also.

Try using go smile every once and a while. They sell the refills for cheaper, and the toothpaste is cheap too. Theres mini kits. Look here:

  5. Most teeth whitening products on the market are made of up Peroxide which can increase tooth sensitivity.-~~
